6th CamTESOL Conference on English Language Teaching
The Conference IDP established the CamTESOL conference series in 2005. It is the premier professional development forum for teachers of English in Cambodia. It has also become a significant international conference with around 300 international participants from over 25 countries now attending annually.
The conference brings together the following groups of stakeholders from Cambodia and the broader Asian region as well as other international participants and presenters:
Please click here to download Advertising and Sponsorship Application Form The 6th CamTESOL Conference on English Language Teaching will be held on 27-28 February 2010 at the National Institute of Education. The theme of the 2010 conference will be “One World: World Englishes.” The format of the conference will include presentations from invited international plenary speakers and contributed papers and workshops in around 20 streams aimed at encouraging more interactive participation from delegates. This national event is of relevance to anyone involved in the education sector. The advertising packages below provide excellent opportunities for direct access to roughly 1,200 delegates who regularly attend this conference. Sponsorship for Government teachers from the provinces and final year trainee teachers is strongly encouraged, as these teachers are the least privileged participants in the conference. The conference aims to achieve sponsorship for at least 100 high school teachers from the provinces each year. The conference is usually held at a different venue each year. The venue sponsor is supporting additional costs that the hosting institution usually bears in order to host the conference. The 2010 conference will be held at the National Institute of Education government-funded teacher training and professional development body. Benefits
Two traditional Khmer dance performances take place during the conference: one during the Opening Ceremony and the other during the Conference Dinner. The dances have proven to be very popular with overseas delegates, government officials and Cambodians alike. Sponsorship of dancing is interpreted as contributing to the reinvigoration of the performing arts in Cambodia. Benefits
The Conference Handbook will be produced and distributed to all attendees and speakers at the event. It will contain the conference program, abstracts of plenary sessions and parallel sessions, biodata of the speakers, a list of sponsors and exhibitors and details of the conference committees and organisers. On the Friday afternoon prior to the commencement of the conference, the organisers will hold an orientation program for provincial Cambodian teachers outlining how to use the Conference Handbook and tips on getting the most out of the conference. Your company/organisation may wish to place a flyer on the Conference Chairs prior to a conference session on Saturday 27th or Sunday 28th. It is anticipated that more than 1200 delegates will be in attendance.

You, your company or organisation may wish to sponsor a provincial Cambodian teacher or group of teachers to attend the conference. These supporters are acknowledged in the Conference Handbook.
